The fact that God gave us the Bible is an evidence and illustration of His love for us. The term revelation simply means that God communicated to mankind what He is like and how we can have a right relationship with Him. These are things that we could not have known had not God divinely revealed them to us in the Bible. Although God’s revelation of Himself in the Bible was given progressively over approximately 1500 years, it has always contained everything that man needed to know about God in order to have a right relationship with Him. If the Bible is truly the Word of God, then it is the final authority for all matters of faith, religious practice, and morals.

He is a personal being, and has been both seen and heard by many people. He can use many forms - including that of an "angel of light".

Read Romans 16:5: "also greet the church that is in their house..." Paul refers to the church in their house, not a church building, but a body of believers.

A further difficulty comes in the lives of people who wonder if they are saved. Many of them have doubts and need evidence. Unfortunately, some of them who aren't Christians have wrongly been told that their superficial beliefs are sufficient to save them, so they assume that they're Christians when they really aren't. In 2 Peter 1:9-10, Peter explains how a believer can be assured of his salvation: "He that lacketh [the qualities of spiritual maturity] is blind and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure; for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall." Peter was not talking about the loss of salvation, but the assurance of salvation. There are certain Christians who can't remember that they have been saved. They lack the confidence of knowing they're saved because they lack faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love (vv. 5-7). The manifestation of godly works in our lives assures us that something has transformed us. If we don't see those things, we may question whether any change took place. Therefore, Peter encourages us to make sure those qualities are in our lives so we can have the security of knowing we're saved.

Is hell real? Studies show that over 90% of people in the world believe in a heaven while less than 50% believe in an eternal hell. According to the Bible, hell is most definitely real! The punishment of the wicked in hell is as never-ending as the bliss of the righteous in Heaven. The punishment of the wicked dead in hell is described throughout Scripture as everlasting fire (Matthew 25:41), unquenchable fire (Matthew 3:12), shame and everlasting contempt (Daniel 12:2), a place where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched (Mark 9:44-49), a place of torments and flame (Luke 16:23,24), everlasting destruction (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place of torment with fire and brimstone where the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever (Revelation 14:10,11), and a lake of fire and brimstone where the wicked are tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10). Jesus Himself indicates that the punishment in hell itself is everlasting - not merely the smoke and flames (Matthew 25:46).
